Welcome to Kendriya Vidyalaya Barrackpore (A.F.S)


Adolescences is the period of transmission from childhood, to adulthood, when one starts sensing the pulse of change being conscious of its responsibilities in this concern it is a pleasure to announce that the KVS along with the others has taken up the noble task of grooming these young minds, so that they can deal with situation of life skillfully. With the above perspective, K.V.Barracpore (AFS) was privileged of having one of its members trained as a Master Trainer (Cluster) from ZIET Mysore, who was then assigned to train nodule teachers.

The missionary zeal of educating the innocent but curious minds of the adolescents was conveyed through various group activities and competitions as quiz, debate, speech, role play, poster writing, deliberation etc. a question box has been placed for the students to put in their question, which in turn were being clarified by the expert speakers.

The 16 hour schedule of the N.A.E.P. has been successfully completed to reach the target of self awareness amongst the adolescents.
NATIONAL ADOLESCENCE EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The National Science day has been celebrated on 28th February 2007 in order to inculcated the scientific attitude & approach among student in general & to impart sound knowledge on this year's theme 'More Crop per Drop'.

The celebration was inaugurated by garlanding the portrait of C.V.Raman by the Chief Guest Prof. S.K.Mondal Professor & Head of Computer Dept Govt. Engineering College Kayani.

Talks on the topic & related topics were given by Master Iftekar Anjoom of class VIII & Master Pallav of class IX & Special Science was asked by Rani Anubha Biswas of class XI in the morning Assembly.

The undersigned gave emphasis on the scientific contribution & achievement of C.V.Raman that eventually awarded him with Noble Prize.

We have conducted 'sit & draw competition' essay writing competition & poster writing competition for the primary section students relating the theme 'More Crop per Drop' There has been mass participation of the students. The students drew & pained relating to science - pollution & its effects, water conservation, role of students in gardening at home / at Vidyalaya, roof gardening etc.

The students of class VI & above were allotted with the essay writing competition , quiz competition, display of articles related to science in the class room Display Board.

There was the maximum involvement of the students in all these activities & the competitions were conducted successfully.
The celebrations were concluded with befitting manner with a determination that the National Science Day does not remain as a celebration day that but a habit which is to be practiced is our day today life.
